VALENTINA MION

URBAN DESIGN & SUSTAINABILITY

Valentina studied architecture at ETSA Madrid and at the Polytechnic University of Milan, where she holds a PhD in Architecture and Urban Design in 2017 with the thesis “Undergrowth Urbanism. User-generated practices in the contemporary city”. From 2013 she coordinates the brazilian section of urbz group, a collective of architects specialized in informal city dynamics operating in Brazil, India, Colombia and Switzerland. In 2014 she founded NotToScale Architecture Studio in Switzerland, a design and consulting firm focused on architecture, urban design and planning. She carried out consultancy and design services for private customers and architecture studios as Ezquiaga Arquitectura, Sociedad y Territorio (Madrid), Lab.Pro.Fab (Caracas-Umea) and AmaZone Real Estate Holdings Inc. (New York). As architect and urban planner, she developed an international experience in many countries such as Brazil, Peru, Spain, United States, Italy, Morocco, and Switzerland.
