GABRIEL WAJNERMAN

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

Gabriel Wajnerman, born in Tucumán, Argentina in 1981. Graduated at FAU-UNT in 2006. (Architecture & Urbanism Faculty - Tucumán National University). In 2003, he won a scholarship and experienced social housing workshop/laboratory at Mendrisio, Switzerland, granted by Universita Della Svizzera Italiana. In 2011 he graduated from Master in Collective Housing, at UPM Polytechnic University of Madrid, Spain.

 

In 2007 he co-founded Plural architects, with 3 partners till today. His work is focused in housing projects, developing different scales. They also worked with hotels, offices and urban planning. Plural architects have constructed in Tucumán, Buenos Aires, Iguazu and Abu Dhabi. His studio won the Excellence2014 prize, given by Clarin architecture newspaper, as the best young studio, category emerging voices and intermediate generation. In 2014 and 2016 Plural was awarded at de BIAAR, International Architecture Bienal of Argentina, for a concrete house in a jungle and a low density collective housing project. They participated at publications such us “Onehouse: contemporaneous living” and “The material of the built”.

 

Gabriel Wajnerman has been an architecture professor for 11 years now,  between 2nd and 4th year levels at the Tucuman Architecture School. From 2013, he has been organizing massive international architecture talk events at his province, and field trips with his students, in conjunction with UNT. As a professor, he has been lecturing at UNA (Asuncion-Paraguay University), UBA (Buenos Aires-Argentina University), UPM (Palermo-Argentina University), UNR (Rosario-Argentina University).
