OSCAR LINARES DE LA TORRE

JURY WORKSHOP ANDREA DEPLAZES

Born in Barcelona in 1984. Architect with Honors in 2008, Master in 2010 and Ph.D. Cum Laude in 2015 from the Barcelona Technical School of Architecture (ETSAB).

 

He has taught at the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB, 2009-2012), the Sir John Cass Faculty of Architecture - London Metropolitan University (LMU, 2012-2013), the Madrid School of Architecture (ETSAM, 2014-2015) and the Istituto Europeo di Design in Barcelona (IED, 2018, 2016, 2015). He has been also invited professor at many European schools of architecture. Since 2015 he is an Associate Professor at the ETSAB Architecture and Technology Studio.

 

His theoretical research has been published in papers, books and teaching publications in Spain and Latin America.

 

His professional career has been built combining the development of his own projects and the collaboration with other national and international studios and architects. Among others, he has been Projects Director at Rafael de La-Hoz Architects (Madrid) and Associate Architect at OAB Office of Architecture in Barcelona (Carlos Ferrater Partnership).

 

He has worked on more than 100 projects (20 of them, built or under construction) and architectural competitions (40 prize-awarded competitions), including master planning, landscaping, housing, cultural and educational buildings, offices, hotels, industrial buildings, retail, sports buildings, educational and public equipment and botanical gardens. He has developed his work in Spain, Andorra, Portugal, United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, Hungary, Netherlands, United States, Colombia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Morocco, Turkey, and Kazakhstan.
