RULES:

1.- Object of the give away

Master in Collective Housing, a master's degree of the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (hereinafter MCH), announces the present give away, which is free of charge. This give away is open to all individuals who meet the requirements stipulated in the following rules.

2.- Participants

All natural persons who meet the following requirements may participate in the give away:

- To participate in the give away as indicated in these rules.

- Accept the rules of participation and data protection stipulated in these rules.

3.- Prizes

The prize will consist of 1 (one) Book "TC 163- Alison Brooks architecture" signed by Alison Brooks in Madrid on 7 June 2024.

Characteristics of the book: 

386 Pages, Spanish, English 23 x 29,5 cm Softcover ISBN: 978-84-17753-60-3.

This prize will be for a single winner chosen from among the participants on Instagram who meet all the requirements. 

Regular mail delivery of the prize is included at MCH's expense. MCH accepts no responsibility for any damage to the book once it has been sent to the winner's postal address, or for any loss of the book for reasons beyond MCH's control.

Under no circumstances may the prize obtained be exchanged for its equivalent value in cash or be subject to substitution, change of dates, alteration or compensation of any kind.

The marketing and/or sale of the prize is prohibited.

Prizes do not include any services and/or expenses not described in the above paragraphs.

4.- Give away procedure

It will be possible to participate from 11/07/24 at 10:00am until 18/07/24 at 11:59pm(Spanish time). The give away is organised by MCH in collaboration with Alison Brooks Architects and TC Cuadernos through Instagram social networks.

The procedure to participate will be as follows:

- Follow @mch_collectivehousing @tccuadernos and @alisonbrooksarchitects on Instagram.

- Like the giveaway post on Instagram.

- Mention a friend or family member.

- Post the post in Stories.

Users may participate with unlimited number of comments.

The publications and/or comments of the participants must be their authorship, otherwise, MCH is exonerated from any type of responsibility.

The submission of comments by participants implies automatic and full acceptance of these terms and conditions of participation. However, the winner may be asked to expressly accept the following rules in writing.

For the purposes of correct participation, only comments whose message is correct according to the following moderation rules will be accepted:

- It is only allowed to publish content for which the author has copyright or express authorisation from the author.

- Any publication that is sexist, racist, promotes violence or is contrary to sexual, religious or opinion freedom is forbidden.

MCH reserves the right to delete comments that do not respect the above rules and to exclude them from participation.

The winner will be chosen at random from among all the participants and by computer system after 19/07/2024. In the same way, 2 substitutes will be chosen for each winner, also at random from among all the participants and by computer system.

These substitutes will replace the corresponding winner in the event that he/she does not respond within 48 hours or does not comply with the conditions required in these rules.

5.- Communication with the winners.

The winner must accept the prize and provide the necessary information within a period of 48 hours, from the first communication through the channel in which they have participated, and as indicated by MCH in the same. 

Subsequently, they will be contacted via email to check that they accept the prize and that they comply with the requirements stipulated in the legal bases of the give away. The information required will be personal data (name, surname, full postal address, email, telephone number and DNI (identification number of the country of residence). Additional data may be required for international shipments.

If for reasons beyond MCH's control it is impossible to contact the winners within 48 hours via the email address provided by them, the right to the prize will expire and MCH will contact the first alternate.

The names of the winners who have provided the required data within the deadline, have accepted the prize and comply with the stipulations of the rules, will be communicated on the MCH RRSS and/or www.mchmaster.com between 19/07/2024 and 02/08/2024.

6.- Winner publicity

The winner accepts and authorises that his/her name and surname, image and the prize won may appear on the official Facebook and/or Instagram and/or X and/or Threads page, on the website www.mchmaster.com or on any other commercial, advertising or media support that MCH, Alison Brooks architects or TC Cuadernos may use in order to inform and publicise the result of the prize give away.

7. - Data Protection

MCH complies with current legislation on the protection of personal data, in particular with regard to Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and the free movement of such data.

a) Data Controller:

Your data will be processed and collected by MCH, with registered office at C/PASTOR 3-28003 MADRID, Spain.

b) Purpose and legitimacy:

In relation to the personal data to which we may have access as a result of your participation in this give away will be processed, intended and used, solely for the management of your participation in the give away, including the subsequent contact with you in case you were the winner to proceed with the shipment of the prize.

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is the consent you give us and the execution of a contractual relationship.

c) Recipients:

Data will only be passed on to third parties if this transfer is necessary for the implementation and administration of the sweepstake (e.g. shipment of the prize via a transport company).

8.- Responsibilities

All participants in the give away understand and accept that MCH is not responsible for any errors, losses or irregularities that may occur when sending the information, caused by interference in communication or any other error or omission resulting from telecommunications problems, traffic, congestion or Internet connection, or any other cause not attributable to MCH. MCH will only be liable for damages caused by malice, gross negligence or breach of essential contractual obligations. 

9.- Exclusion

In the event of a possible infringement of the rules of participation, MCH reserves the right to exclude the offender without prior notice and prevent his/her participation. The participation of any participant who uses any unauthorised means (e.g. hacker tools, viruses, Trojans, etc.) will be excluded. Participants who participate on behalf of third parties (with or without their knowledge or consent) may also be excluded from participation. Participation in the sweepstakes via gaming groups, automated services or professional services is not permitted.

10.- Early termination

MCH reserves the right to interrupt the give away at any time without prior notice for reasons beyond its control. The organizer will be forced to take this decision for technical reasons (e.g. virus in the system, manipulation or failure of hardware or software, etc.) or if for legal reasons, the give away cannot take place according to the established rules. If the termination is due to inappropriate behaviour on the part of a participant, the organiser is entitled to claim damages against the participant.

Participation in this prize give away implies unreserved acceptance of these rules.
