The offer of interviews, educational or informative videos in the architecture sector is growing every day, since they present an alternative to discover many projects that would otherwise be more difficult to find. For this reason, in this article we are going to present some of the channels that can be useful for both, students and professionals of architecture.

Youtube Architecture Channels for Students and Professionals 

If you are a student or professional in the architecture sector, or you just like to watch some videos on this subject and soak up knowledge, we leave you some recommendations of channels on architecture that will surely help a lot, especially if you are thinking of getting enrolled in our Advanced postgraduate, the Master in Collective Housing UPM/ETH.

ArchDaily

ArchDaily is undoubtedly one of the best known channels in the sector. In addition to interviews with internationally recognized architects, you will be able to discover new projects and events related to architecture. A good place to get to know the architectural world in depth. Moreover a special playlist with a multitude of videos for architecture students in Spanish can be found. ArchDaily has interviewed several architects who have been professors of our postgraduate program, such as Atxu Amann, Alejandro Aravena or Bjarke Injels, among others.

 

The Modmin

Thanks to The Modmin channel you will be able to learn about the best drawing techniques through its simple tutorials. The most viewed videos of this channel are those related to drawing textures and other necessary techniques in architecture. Thanks to it you can improve your methods or drawing systems. Furthermore, they perform monthly challenges that are really entertaining.

Dezeen

The London-based online architecture and design magazine has also a specialised YouTube channel, where you can find a wide variety of videos related to the magazine itself. With a large number of interviews, videos on major architecture and design projects, and even talks of all kinds, the Dezeen channel is a good way to make a total immersion in the world of architecture. 

ETSAM

ETSAM (Madrid Architecture School) has also a youtube channel in which you will find videos about architecture lectures, design, technical conferences and many other topics related to this sector. A good way to attend the talks at any time, directly from the ETSAM channel.

Louisiana Channel

This Youtube channel deals not only with aspects related to architecture, but also with watch videos about literature, art or music. In general it is a channel where you can learn about different disciplines and relate it to the world of architecture and design in a didactic way. How to Architect

In this channel, oriented to learn more about architecture, you will find all kinds of tutorials: architectural terms, styles, lettering, tutorials on models and above all, you will learn first-hand the professional experience of architects. If you are just starting in Architecture, or want to increase your knowledge, How to Architect channel is undoubtedly a good site to start.

Architectural Digest

The international design and architecture authority has also a Youtube channel. In the Architectural Digest channel you will find everything related to design and architecture at an international level: impressive houses, amazing places and above all quality. A great way to consume contents about architecture and design in a really entertaining and professional way at the same time. 

Civil Engineering Tutorials

If you need a little help on how to manage certain programs used in architecture (such as Autocad), perform calculations related to materials or similar aspects, the Civil Engineering Tutorials channel will always keep you up to date with tutorials for each of these tasks. Although it is oriented to Civil Engineering, it is possible that it will be of great help to you in its most basic aspects.

 

MCH

MCH has also its own Youtube Channel. In it, you will find interviews of some of the MCH professors who have passed through our classroom. Moreover, you will be able to know more about the Master in Collective Housing listening the alumni testimonials from past editions, and watching some videos that reflect the environment in which our Master is developed, in and out of the ETSAM.

 

Master in Collective Housing UPM/ETH

The Master of Advanced Studies in Collective Housing is a professional and international postgraduate programme that is developed on a full-time basis, dealing with advanced architectural design in the city and housing. It is designed and taught jointly by the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH).
