A new edition of #Untagged is on its way!

MCH 2024 students Kailey Akins and Milagros Ucha have been selected as the new editors of the MCH annual magazine, #Untagged. “Generosity in architecture” is the topic of the new edition, where the new editors aim to capture the most outstanding work from the 2024 cohort.

“Generous architecture goes beyond pure functionality. It is about offering something extra—creating spaces that don’t merely meet the minimum needs but instead enrich lives though the unexpected. It is about surpassing the modern Existenzminimum and redefining housing as a key component of the architectural discipline, beyond a mere equation of speculation and optimization”

About #Untagged

#Untagged magazine is an annual publication showcasing the exceptional work produced by the different editions of the Master in Collective Housing (MCH), a program jointly offered by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). This magazine not only reflects the academic achievements of its students but also serves as a testament to the program’s commitment to advancing the study and practice of collective housing.

Each edition of #Untagged is unique and carefully curated. Outstanding students from each edition—who have demonstrated academic excellence and strong graphic representation skills—are selected to lead the editorial process. The editors work closely with faculty and peers to compile the most significant projects, reviews, and reflections of the year.

To date, with two editions available in both digital and print formats, the third edition promises to be a true testimony to how design as a discipline can positively impact people’s lives through thoughtful and innovative solutions.

A pre-launch is scheduled for March 26th, 2025, where the digital version of the magazine will be presented to the new MCH students.
