Alberto Mozó Leverington, (1963), architect of the Catholic University of Chile (1991), has experience in the area of design and development of construction techniques. His works stand out in a wide territory from furniture, interior architecture, commercial architecture, retail, housing and buildings.
He has received several awards for the rehabilitation of Historic Neighborhoods, one of them awarded by the City of Andalusia, Spain. In 2009, she received the 1st place at the AR Awards RIBA, London, an international award given to architects who have achieved significant work worldwide before 45 years of age. Corfo INNOVA Award (2009) in Architecture, 1st place in CORMA Wood architecture, 1st place in the Santiago Chile Biennial (2008). 2012 is nominated for the BSI Award Switzerland, for his significant contribution to improving the environment.
Alberto Mozó’s works have been exhibited on different occasions, at the Venice Biennale, exhibitions in China, Germany, England, Quito, and others. Works that have been published in more than 30 countries in magazines such as, Domus Italia, Arquitectural Review Londres, AV, Metropolitan USA, IW Detail Taiwan, C3 Correa and specialized books such as “Green Architecture” editorial Tachen, Blanca Montaña Ed. Puro Chile and others.
Guest professor at the Catholic University, Andrés Bello University, Diego Portales University and others. Offering architecture and recycling workshops, as well as workshops for the development of construction system techniques.
He has lectured at RIBA London, Technical University of Berlin, University of Austin, Texas, seminars on wood in the USA, Biennial of Quito, Ecuador, and in several Chilean Universities.
Since 2008/2020 Alberto Mozó designs, develops and creates new construction systems for the production of industrialized wooden houses. His latest work can be seen on Instagram @sistemavap @albertomozo_arquitecto
