JOSEP BATLLE

WORKSHOP ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

Josep Batlle was born in Barcelona in 1992. He is an architect since 2016, having graduated from the Barcelona School of Architecture (ETSAB) at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC). He joined Batlleiroig in 2018 and currently holds the position of partner and project director in the building department. Additionally, he serves as the director of the Real Estate department.

 

Among his notable achievements, the project for the new Roche Diagnostics offices in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona) stands out, which was completed in 2022. As the director of Real Estate, he successfully coordinated a residential development consisting of 26 homes in Sant Esteve de Palautordera (Barcelona), which was completed in 2021. He is also leading the project for the expansion of the batlleiroig offices, including a private development of six single-family houses, which is currently in the basic project drafting phase.

 

Currently, Josep is spearheading the project for two office buildings in the 22@ district. He is also working on a proposal for the adaptation of the surroundings and the first floor of a building on Avenida Diagonal in Barcelona. In his role as a consultant in the creative and preliminary design phase, he is leading the proposals for various master plans in the city of Barcelona. For example, he is involved in the project for the Bon Pastor neighborhood in the Sant Andreu district, as well as a mixed-use project that involves expanding the La Maquinista shopping center and constructing over 400 residential units.
