Ignacio Díaz Raya is an architect educated in Spain and France, with over two decades of international experience in interior design, architecture, and the delivery of high-profile projects across multiple sectors and markets. His professional practice bridges design excellence, innovation, commercial strategy, and the creation of enduring value through the built environment.

He is currently Partner of Interior Design at Foster + Partners, where he leads multidisciplinary teams responsible for the development and delivery of complex projects worldwide. His work combines a strong design vision with brand identity, commercial performance, and long-term asset value.

Previously, Ignacio served as Director of Interior Design at Patricia Urquiola Studio, leading the design and execution of landmark hospitality projects across Europe. This experience strengthened his expertise in design leadership, materiality, spatial experience, and the relationship between contemporary design, culture, and hospitality.

Alongside his professional practice, Ignacio has contributed to design education as a guest lecturer at the University of Granada or Master in Interior Design, Creativity and Innovation in Valencia. His approach to design and leadership is informed by an international perspective, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a commitment to developing thoughtful, innovative, and commercially relevant design solutions.

His selected projects include global headquarters for JPMorgan, Citadel, and American Express in New York; the Krafton headquarters in Seoul; the renovation of the Transamerica Pyramid in San Francisco; and hospitality destinations such as Aman Beverly Hills, Mandarin Oriental Barcelona, Das Stue Berlin, Four Seasons Milan, and Kulm Hotel in St. Moritz.

Through his work across architecture, interiors, hospitality, and luxury environments, Ignacio brings a global, practice-led perspective to the evolving relationship between design, business, innovation, and the user experience.

The MCH Master brings together leading architects and researchers from across the world.
