Irene Lebrusán Murillo holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the Complutense University of Madrid. Her thesis (Housing in old age: problems & strategies) was awarded the 2017 “Research Award in Urban Economics” from Madrid City Council. Her lines of research orbit around housing, inequality, old age, childhood and welfare system. Irene has more than 10 years of experience in national and international projects and she has been a visiting researcher at the Center for Innovative Aging (Swansea University, UK). She is an associate professor at the Carlos III University of Madrid and currently works as a researcher for different projects.
