Paulo Dam Mazzi
Paulo Dam Mazzi (Lima, 1968) holds a PhD in Architecture from the Catholic University of Louvain (2009) and is a Full Professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) in the area of design and theory. He has co-authored notable works such as Post Ilusiones. Nuevas visiones. Arte crítico en Lima 1980-2006 and Modelando el Mundo. Imágenes de la arquitectura precolombina. He also edited the book Lacan. Arquitectura.
Paulo has curated projects that explore the intersection of art, architecture, and critical thought. He serves as the coordinator of the Transversal: Acciones de Integración del Territorio Peruano project, which focuses on the integration of the Peruvian territory.
Since 1995, he has combined his academic teaching with the critical practice of architectural design. In 2014, he assumed the role of Head of the Academic Department of Architecture at PUCP, where he continues to make significant contributions to architectural education and research.
