Andrés Monzón de Cáceres

Urban Design and City Science

Andrés Monzón holds a degree in Civil Engineering by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). He is a Full-Professor of Transportation Planning at the Civil Engineering Department of the same School.

He is currently Director of TRANSyT (Transport Research Centre) and the Director of the Metropolitan Mobility Observatory, which publishes a yearly report on mobility supply and demand, including data of 24 Spanish Cities.

He has published more than 40 books and chapters of books, 50 papers in scientific journals, 65 papers in international Conferences’ Proceedings and 50 in national Conferences and Symposiums. He has been supervisor of more than 20 PhD thesis.
