ANTONIO ECHAVES

GUEST PROFESSOR

Antonio Echaves García is a PhD in Sociology from the Complutense University of Madrid and has been accredited as an Assistant Doctor by the ANECA agency. He is currently an interim professor at the Department of Sociology of the University of Seville and a member of the Center for Sociology and Local Policies of the Pablo de Olavide University in Seville. He was formerly engaged in Doctorate Training (FPU) in the Department of Soology II of the Faculty of Political Science and Sociology of the Complutense University. He has obtained special mentions as an honorary collaborator in that department and disguises of research stays at the OTB Institute for the Investigation of the Built Environment, Technological University of Delft (The Netherlands). He has collaborated in teaching tasks in subjects of the degree of Sociology of the UCM, such as Urban Sociology and Housing Sociology, and in international master's programs (4 Cities, Euromaster in Urban Studies, Autonomous University of Madrid). He has worked as a researcher in numerous funded research projects and has collaborated in national reports such as the Youth Report in Spain 2016 edited by the Youth Observatory, the Youth Institute in Spain (Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality) He is also the author of several articles in leading national journals in the field of sociology, focusing on the study of the demographic and socioeconomic processes in the territory, which have as a background the housing, and in the analysis of the phenomena carried out by the young people, as is residential emancipation.
