Belén Hermida
Born in Spain, practitioner and educator. Artium Baccalaureae, double major in Studio Art and Architecture, Wellesley College (1986). Master of Architecture, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1988). Licensed architect at COAM (1990). She has worked alone and in collaborationwith other architects in Spain and abroad, with significant clients in the public and private sectors. She worked with Rafael Moneo between 1989-2007. Since 2013, she is a partner at URBAN NETWORKS and a Board Member at COAM.
In 2005 she joined the Department of Architecture and Design at University CEU San Pablo where she teaches Architectural Design and researches in the group Re-Thinking Cities. She coordinated the Bilingual Program in Architecture (2008-2017) and since 2013 she co-directs [MUID] Master in Urban Interior Design: Public Spaces in Contemporary Cities in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano, where she has also been visiting faculty.
