David has successfully led some of Arup’s most iconic projects across the globe and is a recognised expert in his local market and beyond.
David joined Arup in his hometown of Melbourne in 2001 after graduating from RMIT University with 1st Class Honours in a Bachelor of Civil Engineering Degree.
During his time in Arup Melbourne, he was involved in numerous projects including Commercial, High Rise Residential and Educational buildings. His most notable role was on the high-profile redevelopment of the 100,000 seat M.C.G. Stadium.
In 2005, David transferred to the Madrid Office where he has worked on a variety of projects in Europe and Internationally, with a strong focus on the sports business sector and more recently, well beyond. He has participated in numerous diverse and interesting projects, acquiring experience in planning, design, project & design management and site supervision.
David has held organisational leadership roles such as structures discipline leader and BIM Task Force leader and he is currently the Sports Business leader in Spain and Project Director on a number of important projects.
Projects such as FC Barcelona’s 105,000 seat Camp Nou stadium refurbishment, or Arup’s Project Management role on an exciting new hydrogen energy plant in Spain for Cummins, one of the largest in the world.
