Enrique Arenas Laorga (1974) is an architect (ETSAM 2002) and PhD cum laude (UPM 2016). He has been a professor of drawing, form analysis, design studios and bionics. He has given classes, lectures and workshops at various universities and institutions. Both his work and research has been displayed in several international exhibitions and publications. Founding partner of Arenas Basabe Palacios arquitectos, his professional work ranges from small scale projects to the production of the city. Since 2006, the practice has received more than thirty prizes in architectural and urban design competitions, including five Europan prizes, in Austria, Spain and Sweden, three of which are currently under development.
