Gaspar Fernández

Housing Practice

Born in Oviedo in 1982, Gaspar Fernández built his first single family house as he was 21. He studied architecture in Madrid and Cologne and launched his professional career with Antón García-Abril at Ensamble Estudio before graduating at ETSAM in 2009. After completing the MAS UPM/ETH in Collective Housing in 2010 he moved to Amsterdam, where he worked at the office of Felix Claus.

In 2011 he has established in Switzerland. He worked as an architect in Lucerne, and trained and grew up as a project manager in Zurich. After 7 years abroad, he came back to Spain and founded HUUS Vivienda y Rehabilitación, whose aim is the design and promotion of new housing projects in old refurbished buildings.
