Giulia Celentano

Low Resources and Emergency Housing

Dr. Giulia Celentano is the Humanitarian focal point at the Chair of Sustainable Construction at ETH Zurich, from where she coordinates research-to-impact projects, from Zurich and the field, with the ICRC, UNHCR, Global Shelter Cluster, and other agencies involved in construction interventions in the humanitarian and development context. Her field-experience covers informal settlements, refugee camps and cities in a state of crises in diverse sites in Africa, the Middle East, Central America and South East Asia.

She holds a B. Arch from Politecnico di Milano , a Maste level course on  Shelter and Settlements in Emergencies from the IFRC –  Oxford Brookes University, and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from ETH Zurich.
