Ibrahim Díaz

Urban Design and City Science

Ibrahim Díaz studied architecture, his career has focused in landscape and master planning. He has over 9 years of professional experience having worked both nationally and internationally. His work ranges from large scale projects focusing in urban planning to smaller interventions into the urban tissue. He was responsible for the Town Square Dubai landscape strategy in UAE with Martha Schwartz Partners, a new development covering an area of 375.25 ha that will accommodate 80.000 inhabitants as well as the new landscape design for Distrito Madrid Castellana Norte with Grant Associates.

Ibrahim main interest is the intersection between landscape, architecture and art through a design language that has as a main ambition the creation of evoking atmospheres and emotions. His design approach is based on understanding complex urban systems from both a strategic approach down to human scale viewpoints.

Ibrahim Díaz’s experience in China, South East Asia, Middle East and Europe has given him a good understanding on how to create meaningful and cutting edge designs while being sensitive to the local context.
