Michael Mettler

Housing Practice

Michael Mettler, born 1970 in Switzerland, is an architect, designer, entrepreneur and consultant. He studied at Cornell University in New York and graduated with a Masters in Architecture from the ETH in Zürich in 1997. In 2019 he completed a Masters of Advanced Studies in Real Estate at the University of Zurich.
 
After gaining professional Experience from Herzog & De Meuron, Burkhalter Sumi and other Swiss Architectural studios, he founded his own practice with a focus on low emissions buildings. In 2014 Michael Mettler joined the board of the Kalkbreite Housing Cooperative where he has been focused on participatory processes, sustainability and project development. In 2019 Michael joined IVO Innenentwicklung, a consultancy for urban and regional planning with a focus on sustainable growth.
