Miguel Acebrón

Low resources and emergency housing

Miguel is an architect and humanitarian shelter specialist with extensive field experience in emergency and post-disaster contexts. Between 2017 and 2023, he worked as a Shelter and WASH Delegate for the Red Cross, supporting humanitarian responses in countries including Bangladesh, Pakistan, Ukraine and Honduras. His work has focused on the design, implementation and technical coordination of shelter and WASH programmes for populations affected by conflict, disasters and  displacement. Since 2023, he has been working with Better Shelter as a Shelter Technical Advisor, providing technical guidance and operational support to organisations using Better Shelter structures in humanitarian and emergency response programmes around different regions.
