Philip Ursprung

Workshop

Philip Ursprung is Professor of the History of Art and Architecture. From 2017 to 2019 he is Dean of the Department of Architecture at ETH Zurich. He earned his PhD in Art History at Freie Universität Berlin after studying in Geneva, Vienna and Berlin, and taught at Hochschule der Künste Berlin, Columbia University, Barcelona Institute of Architecture and Cornell University. Philip Ursprung edited Herzog & de Meuron: Natural History (2002) and is author of Allan Kaprow, Robert Smithson, and the Limits to Art (2013),  Brexas y conexiones (2016), and Joseph Beuys (2021).
