Yasemin Yalçın-Chauca

Managing Director of 2226 AG, St. Gallen, Switzerland

Yasemin Yalçın-Chauca was born in 1988 in Bregenz, where she gained her leaving certificate in construction engineering from the Technical High School in 2008. She had simultaneously worked as an intern at Baumschlager Eberle Architekten in Lochau. After working as a structural engineer in 2009 she moved to the University of Innsbruck and studied there until 2013. She subsequently designed boutiques for a St. Gallen fashion company in Europe, Asia, and the USA. From May 2016 she worked in Dietmar Eberle’s team at Baumschlager Eberle Architekten in Lustenau on concepts, competitions, and publications. Following a nine-month sabbatical she completed her master’s in collective housing at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM) in 2018, to which she was invited as a visiting professor in 2020 and 2021. Since January 2020 she has been a managing director of 2226 AG in St. Gallen and, hence, the youngest managing director in the be architects holding AG.
